This past weekend, Bramson ORT College
participated in New York City's top technology event, The Maker Faire. This event was created by Make Magazine to celebrate arts, crafts,
engineering, science projects and new inventions. This year, the event attracted
around 70,000 people and was hosted at the New York Hall of Science in Queens.
Many colleges, schools, sponsors, science enthusiasts and technology corporations and
organizations participated in the high tech event of the year. Some of the
themes of the exhibit included the latest in 3D printing, robotics,
electronics, soldering, tinkering, molding,
computer animation and programming. Students showcased their robot kits and
latest inventions. The event even had a live circus! Bramson ORT College
showcased the work of their top 3D animation, computer programming,
electronics, and design students. Robotics Professor, John Howell, gave a speech on
Bramson ORT’s latest technology courses.
High-end technology and educational innovation is
one of the hallmarks of Bramson ORT College. The college is one of the few NYC
schools to have successful programs and courses in renewable energy, robotics,
3d animation, and design. It is no surprise that the non-for-profit school
would participate at such a high-end event. Bramson ORT College is accredited by the Board of
Regents of the University of the State of New York. The school encourages
students to learn the latest hands-on skills beyond the classroom environment.
Last summer, design and gaming students had a chance to showcase their
work at the General Assembly of World ORT in Washington D.C. Bramson ORT
students presented their work amongst other international ORT students, who
showcased their robotics skills and other technological inventions. In addition
to industry trips, Bramson ORT College offers internship and job placement services. With
a strong Career Services Department, students are able to apply for internships
in their field while working towards finishing their two-year degree. The
college has over 80% graduate job placement rate! With 19 degrees, online
classes, and certificate programs offered, the school has been viewed as an
oasis of career opportunities for inner city youth. The Queens and Brooklyn
Campuses also offer degrees in Accounting, Business Management, Medical
Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Professional Billing and Coding,
Electronics Technology, Computer Networking, Renewable Energy, Paralegal and much more.
In today’s tough economy, students and parents of
High School graduates should consider the benefits of such a school as Bramson
ORT College that provides affordable tuition coupled with great scholarships
and hands-on educational opportunities. The school is close to major
transportation. For more

I have been to my fair share of party venues across the city. But this one is my favorite. I think their prices are reasonable and personally like the pudding and apple crisp they serve.
