Financial Aid FAQs

It's no surprise that college costs are rising with each academic year, and as a result, students are overwhelmed with the stress of student loans now more than ever. At Bramson ORT College, we understand that the process of applying for financial aid can be intimidating since you are dealing with such a large sum of money. That's why we've compiled a list of some of the top financial aid FAQs to help you get started!

Q: Where do I begin?

A: The best way to apply for federal financial aid is by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, otherwise known as FAFSA, at www.fafsa.ed.gov. In order to begin, you will need a copy of your parents' and/or your most recent federal tax return and the Bramson ORT College code number - 104662.

Q: When do I apply?

A: The sooner you file for financial aid the better. This will help you determine if and when you will have to cover any additional costs before payments are due.

Q: Am I eligible for financial aid?

A: You are eligible to apply for financial aid if you are a U.S citizen or eligible non-citizen, enrolled full-time (for most financial aid programs), are not in default on a previous student loan or do not owe a refund on previously received financial aid, and have not been convicted of possessing or selling illegal drugs while receiving financial aid.

Q: What state and federal financial aid programs are available?

A: There are many financial aid opportunities for students, such as Federal Pell Grants, FSEOG, Federal Work Study, Federal Subsidized/Unsubsidized Direct Loans and the Tuition Assistance Program. For more financial aid programs, click here.

Earn Your Degree in Graphic Design!

As computer technology continues to advance, there is an increasing demand for individuals who can creatively design content for businesses to aid them in their web, advertising and marketing efforts. Computer Information Systems Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree: Graphic Design Concentration

• High school diploma or GED required
• Career opportunities include but are not limited to computer programmer, computer systems analyst, network architect, 3D modeling technician or java developer.

In these programs, students are introduced to major web applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and more. Using modern Mac computers, our highly experienced instructors will show students how to navigate the latest computer softwares and will assist them in creating original web development projects.

Transfer to Bramson ORT College Today!

Are you looking for a school that better fits your academic needs? Transfer to Bramson ORT College today!

After you decide Bramson ORT is the college for you, you must then send an official transcript of your previous college records to the College Registrar. The official transcript is to be sent to the college within thirty days after submitting an Admission Application. Make sure you list all previously attended institutions on the application, if you fail to do so, you will be penalized for this lock of disclosure.

All transfer students must provide the following documents:
1. An official copy of the student’s college transcript.
2.An official course description from the college catalog.

All transfer students are required to present a transcript of all courses completed at the post-secondary institution during registration. At registration, all transfer students will receive an evaluation that shows which courses from your other institutions will be accepted at Bramson. This will determine the student’s course registration and financial aid status.

Credits that are transferred should have a grade of C or better from the last institution. If a course is part of the required major course of study, it must have been completed within the five-year period in order to be accepted as a transfer credit. The office of the Dean of Academic Services will determine which are course credits are transferable.

Medical Assistant Program at Bramson ORT College

 If you think being a Medical Assistant is the job for you, come to Bramson ORT College to earn an Associate of  Applied Science (A.A.S) degree! Financial Aid Advisor – Contact one of our financial aid advisors at Bramson ORT.  We are happy to help make the process of applying for financial aid a little easier.
• Google Helpouts – Get help filling out FAFSA in the comfort of your own home.  Google Helpouts are scheduled at specific times to give users live video tutorials with personalized attention.
