Bramson ORT College Prepares Future Leaders and Technicians with Hands-on Training and Job Seminars

During Bramson ORT's recent job seminar, College Director, Dr. Buhks, and Career Services Coordinator, Ms. Beth Morganlander, introduced Mr. Jeffrey Kamberg. Mr. Kamberg is a top sourcing recruiter for the New York and Long Island Regions of Robert Half International, a Global Leader in Professional and Specialized Staffing Services.  Sharing his vast experience in the field, Mr. Kamberg gave a seminar for Bramson ORT students on the topic "How to land a job in this tough economy." Mr. Kamberg collected resumes from Bramson ORT students for potential positions in the near future. Students were encouraged to sign up for professional career networking sites such as LinkedIn, as well as get involved in internships through Bramson ORT's Career Services Department. The seminar was a huge success and students left with important information that will aid them in their job search efforts.

Bramson ORT College puts job preparation, hands-on training, and "real world" approaches to learning at the top of their list. The goal is to help students start their dream career after graduation. The non-for-profit college offers 19 in-demand degrees and numerous certificate programs.  Recent studies have shown that employers are favorable towards students with tech school diplomas, such as Bramson ORT graduates. Bramson ORT students get the practical training needed for current in-demand careers in technical fields with a focus on specific trades. The Career Services Department is a bridge between the world of work and the academic environment. The office provides excellent customer service, superior opportunities for students and alumni in choosing and securing appropriate, rewarding, and satisfying careers. Just this month, several students were placed in new internships and jobs. Bramson ORT College is interested in the total education of each student. Student support programs and free tutoring are offered to help students achieve the goals that are essential to their educational, career, and personal development. The classes are small, so each student gets the one-on-one attention needed to help them succeed. The college provides a caring and professional environment. As one student stated,"Here you are never just a number."

  1. Is there anyone I can talk to about getting Electronics hands-on training? I finished 60 credits in the summer that just passed, but I feel like I have no hands-on or practical knowledge I can take to a job, and it's really hurting me right now, despite spending so much money on the classes.
