2. Arrange for the College Registrar to receive an official transcript of your previous college record within 30 days of submitting your Admissions Application

3. Be prepared to present a valid Picture ID in order to take the Entrance Exam

Once we’ve received your transcript, you may receive a preliminary evaluation from the Registrar that shows whether a course taken at another degree-granting post-secondary institution meets the criteria for transfer.  The credits we assign you may be used in determining your course registration and financial aid.

After you decide Bramson ORT is the college for you, you must then send an official transcript of your previous college records to the College Registrar. The official transcript is to be sent to the college within thirty days after submitting an Admission Application. Make sure you list all previously attended institutions on the application, if you fail to do so, you will be penalized for this lock of disclosure.

All transfer students must provide the following documents:
1. An official copy of the student’s college transcript.
2.An official course description from the college catalog.

All transfer students are required to present a transcript of all courses completed at the post-secondary institution during registration. At registration, all transfer students will receive an evaluation that shows which courses from your other institutions will be accepted at Bramson. This will determine the student’s course registration and financial aid status.

Credits that are transferred should have a grade of C or better from the last institution. If a course is part of the required major course of study, it must have been completed within the five-year period in order to be accepted as a transfer credit. The office of the Dean of Academic Services will determine which are course credits are transferable.

Here are five tips via US News to help make the financial aid process simple:

Visit Your Guidance Counselor - High school guidance counselors are there to help you.  They can point you in the right direction and provide you with information on where you can find important financial aid resources.
Financial Aid Advisor – Contact one of our financial aid advisors at Bramson ORT.  We are happy to help make the process of applying for financial aid a little easier.
• Google Helpouts – Get help filling out FAFSA in the comfort of your own home.  Google Helpouts are scheduled at specific times to give users live video tutorials with personalized attention.
Federal Student Aid Office – Visit the FAFSA website.  They have a FAQ page, live chat, or you can choose to speak with a representative over the phone.  Students can even ask financial aid questions on Twitter
