Submitted by Prof. Aicha Cesar:
On October 24, 2013, students Eneida Sinjari, Andini Trisky and Qiong Zhang accompanied Professor Aicha Cesar to the New York City Paralegal Association's Continued Legal Education Seminar on Intellectual Property and the role of the paralegal who works in this stimulating and in-demand legal specialty.
BOC students attended this all-day comprehensive and substantive program at no cost (a savings of $50 per student). The seminar took place at the Manhattan corporate offices of the French company, Louis Vuitton. The seminar focused on the civil litigation issues involved in copyright, patent, and registered trademark claims and the criminal enforcement of laws against the counterfeit manufacture of luxury brand items. The event was informative and provided networking opportunities for BOC students who mingled with professional paralegals. The BOC students also enjoyed a delicious breakfast and lunch during this fabulous program.
In addition to the new Paralegal Program, Bramson ORT College offers 19 Degree Programs and numerous in-demand Certificates. The college has campuses in Brooklyn and Queens close to major transportation, including the E, F, N, R, M, and D subway lines.
